Won-Hee Lee

Violin/Viola

Won-Hee Lee was born in Canada and currently lives in Stockholm, Sweden, where she is a member of the Royal Stockholm Philharmonic Orchestra. She has also worked with the Mahler Chamber Orchestra, the Deutsches Symphonie Orchester Berlin, Weinberger Kammerorchester, the Aurora Chamber Orchestra, National Arts Centre Orchestra of Canada, and Kammerakademie Potsdam.

Won-Hee is also an avid chamber musician and has performed internationally on both violin and viola.

Won-Hee studied with Alexander Kerr at Indiana University, as well as in the Orchesterakademie of the Deutsches Symphonie Orchester Berlin and the National Arts Centre Orchestra of Canada's Institute of Orchestral Studies.

Wonnie (as she is known by her friends) has many interests in her spare time, from her volunteer work with refugees in Greece and Turkey, to her obsession with Game of Thrones. She is also learning how to surf, and will happily quote any line from the TV show Friends.


Won-Hee Lee er født i Canada og er nu bosat i Stockholm, hvor hun er medlem af det Kongelige Filharmoniske Orkester i Sverige. Hun har spillet i Mahler Chamber Orchestra, Deutsches Symphonie Orchester Berlin, Weinberger Kammerorchester, Aurora Chamber Orchestra, National Arts Centre Orchestra of Canada, og Kammerakademie Potsdam.

Won-Hee er også en ivrig kammermusiker og har optrådt på den internationale scene med både violin og bratsch.

Won-Hee studerede hos Alexander Kerr på Indiana Univeristy, Orchersterakademie på Deutsches Symphonie Orchester Berlin, og i National Arts Centre Orchestra på Canada’s Institute of Orchestral Studies.

Blandt venner er hun kendt som Wonnie, og har mange fritidsintereser: Wonnie arbejder tit som frivillig med flygtninge i Grækenland og Tyrkiet, elsker Game of Thrones, er igang med at lære at surfe, og kan næsten recitere alt fra serien Friends.
